Stags in Kings Norton/Heath , Birmingham

Hi all
I seem to live in a bit of a 'Stag concentration' as there seem to be loads by me in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham.
There's a yellow one similar to mine, at least 3 whites, a green and a red and a black Stag plus others that I have seen off road.
Where are you all when im out in mine?
Are there any meeting points around the South Birmingham area
Cheers

Steve,

I also used to go to the Royal Oak but it is no longer a pub and so I
think the meets have stopped. The other place we used to go to was the
Moat House on the Alcester Rd which had a large classic gathering of all
types. I think this one is still running as it was mentioned in the SOC
magazine for South Birmingham area.

I stopped going to the South Birmingham meets when they moved to the
other side of Bromsgrove but I really should make the effort to support
the area.

Regards,

>Hi all
>
>The last time I went to the Royal Oak was a couple of years ago so I don't know if it's still running. It was a monthly meeeting, I think on a Tuesday (I can't remember which) from about 7.00 pm. After about September it moved to Sunday afternoons from about 3.00 pm. the pub is on the left side of the Stratford Road as you head out of Hockley Heath towards Stratford. It has a huge carpark where everyone met; there was everything from Morris Minors through American muscle cars to classic Ferraris. All very informal and friendly with no classic car snobbery.
>
>The Club Triumph meeting is at the Weavers Arms, near Fillongly on the first Tuesday of each month from 8.30 pm. It's run by Dave Pearson of Canley Classics.
>
>The 2000/2.5 Register meeting is the 3rd Monday of the month, 8.00 p.m. at The Mary Arden Inn, Wilmcote, Stratford upon Avon.
>
>If you fancy going to any of these, let me know and we can meet up.
>
>Cheers
I live in Birmingham and i have been hearing about this Royal Oak meet for years. I was told quite recently that it no longer occured, reading between your lines i assume it still does. What are the details ie , when does it occur? And what 'A' road is it on? Whats the format? Are parts sold? Parking etc etc. Thanks Steve

Hi Steve

The white one that you see belongs to a friend of mine who has a garage in the area and I have also seen the black one a very nice one at that!
When are the meetings in Hockley Heath?
Do you have any dates for the others that you mention?
I'll look out for you in the area!

Hi

I live in Kings Heath and have seen the black Stag (with wire wheels) and, more recently, a white one.

Mine is red and bumperless, on Minilite wheels but you won't have seen it much on the road for a while. Happily it's all sorted now and I recently posted it on the registry - LD 23010 BW.

I don't know of any meetings local to this part of Birmingham, apart from the general classic car/bike meeting at Old Royal Oak in Hockley Heath, but I've not been there for a while.

I might be going to the 2000 Register meeting at Wilmcote near Stratford, Stags welcome there, plus teh Club Triumph one at Fillongly.

Cheers
