[stag] Thinking about restoring a Stag... Advice?

Tim,

Looks like a great candidate for restoration. I have sister car, French blue,
black interior, automatic that looks identical to yours. My car was titled in
Detroit and then to Kansas City where I purchased it 20 years ago.
Now live in Fort Collins, CO so can provide lots of advise (and support) along
with Glenn M. and others in area.
Owed 4 Stags in UK prior to moving to USA and completely restored one of these
from rusty hulk, not quote as bad as the PC Stag though!
Yours has lots of surface rust due to storage but should be OK. Note no fan
on crank pulley? The problem area that came to my attention is area from door
to rear wheel arch above rocker panel. Could just be surface but known
problem area as others mention.
Like yours, mine is original (except for Chestnut color driver seat while
it is being recovered) and some localized repaint due to past shipper damage.
Feel free to come up and check it out then it could be the catalyst to get
yours done!

No doubt about that, if it is all done properly

And Tim just needs to decide if he wants to spend money that way. I'd say it was worth it, except I don't care for French Blue...
