The original seals I took out og my Stag were in the same condition as
yours...using standard fluid. I am running Dot 5 now after a complete
overhaul 4 years ago. I've had no issues.

are runnning silicone dot 5 ? I pulled one of the cylinders out and looked at
the seal a bit soft and black stuff come of on your fingers. So now I have to
decide should I completely redo the system which would mean refurbish the
master cylinder I am going to replace the rear cylinders and go back to
regular fluid or replace the rear cylinders and fill back up with silicone?
The brakes functioned very well and gave no indication of and failing. Any
input etc etc.
