I have implemented a new Terms of Service agreement for new subscribers that is quasi automated. This helps me reduce approval / screening of prospective new users in a more streamlined verification process.
For your who care for a bit more technical description, the new ToS utility has an auto-responder to have people verify their request using the same email they subscribed with, has a non-computer readable code that must be entered upon requesting access, and finally notifies me after the person has verified their email and request so I can make a quick moderator approval.
This helps keep mailbots, spammers and porn emailers out so you only get Triumph Stag related emails.
However, one feature you will notice for existing users is the next time you post to the phorum, there is a tic box that will appear in your reply box where you can read the ToS and agree to them.
You must agree to the Terms of Service
only one time when you are logged into the forum by checking this box - it also appears at the top right of the screen as "Terms of Service" when logged in to the forum where you can click, read and agree to the Terms of Service.
Nothing spectacular, just a verification you have read the rules of the web site. Since this is a free web service open to all, it helps keep things manageable.
I hope you all understand this reduces my maintenance and increases the level of integrity for the forum. Sorry for any inconvenience.
